Riverwatching
by Geneva
written by Andrew Montgomery & Steven Dora
transcripted by Roger Gunnarsson (boyafraid@hotmail.com)
This is a non-album song that is featured on Genevas first single No
one speaks. Although the album is very good, this is their finest
moment so far in my book. I have just written down the chords, so there
is a bit of a job for you as well if you want to play it correctly, but
it sounds almost as nice as the original if you just pick along with the
chords.
Cm E A Hm
Moonlight is spanning down
E C D
it is such a beautiful night
Cm E A Hm
the river is so calm
E C D
resting now under the searchlight
G G/F D
lurking still they haven`t found a place
Am G D
looking for it`s face
G G/F D
all this time the river flowing slow
Am G F D
soon there is no place to go but down
thinking of a beautiful boy
eyes reflecting in the moonlight
the river is so calm
staying with him throught the night
lurking still they haven`t found a place
looking for it`s face
all this time the river flowing slow
soon there is no place to go but down
it could tell a long time ago
something in his face let me know
many men escaped their mud
watch them give up, life still goes on
lurking still they haven`t found a place
staring at it`s grace
all this time the river flowing slow
soon there is no place to go but down
