Hellbound by The Living End Tabbed by blamft (blamft@hotmail.com)
I`ve had this tab kicking around for a few years now, it was the first Hellbound tab in existence for awhile. Then TLE got famous and suddenly everyone was tabbing their songs. But I`m not bitter or anything. Mick Fryar actually used some of this tab in his version (including the solo), but i still think this is the better tab. Enjoy.
^=sharp, undefined bend b=bend to fret pitch in brackets,eg 4(5)-bend at fourth fret till it sounds like the fifth u=unbend ~=hold the note, w/vibrato = slide down the fretboard /= slide up Intro x 4 D C/D C/D B/D D/E C/E C/E E --------------------- -0----0----0----0-- ---0----0----0----0-- -3----2----1----0-- ---7----6----5----4-- or -0----0----0----0-- whichever sounds ---0----0----0----0-- -0----0----0----2-- better to you. ---5----5----5----5-- -2----2----2----2-- --------------------- -0----0----0----0--
Chorus (x 4) --------------8-----7--- --------------8-----7--- ---9---12-----9-----8--- numbers in brackets shouldn`t be played, but i like to ---9---12---(10)---(9)-- finger the whole chord to make changes easier. ---7---10---(10)---(9)-- -------------(8)---(7)--
Pre Lead break Arpeggio these two chords Em Gm ------------------ --8------11------- --9------12------- --9------12------- --7------10------- ------------------
Solo 2 bars of the chorus riff, then -----------------------------7h10-7h12-7h10-7h12-7h10-7h12-7-10-7-10- --------0-0-0-0--3-3-5-9^-7--7----7----7----7----7----7----7--------- ----------------4-4-------------------------------------------------- -4^u4--4-2-0-4-5---------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------- -15^-15-13-12-13-12h13-10-10h12p10-7h10p7-6h8p6-5h7p5-5/- --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- and then a tricky bit i can`t figure out, followed by:
------------------12-14^-14-12h14p12-14-12-9-10-13p0-11p0-12p0-11p0-9p0-9-7 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------0245---------------------------------------------------------- ---------0234-------------------------------------------------------------- -----0234------------------------------------------------------------------ -0234---------------------------------------------------------------------- aw hell, you figure out the rest of this. i`m bored.
Finish with verse riffs, then chorus riffs, then a slowed down Verse Riff 1, followed by an upstroked open Em chord, and then just the open E(low) string.
