G. Cormier
I found a key on the front porch so I let myself in
I see that you`ve kept things the way they`ve always been
but there`s one thing that`s different than it use to be
it`s the man in the picture staring back at me
It`s a long lonely highway when you go it alone
I thought I could walk out and still come back home
the new life you`ve chosen don`t include me
and after all of my traveling I can plainly see
I was a fool to walk out and leave solid ground
but I was scared of commitment and being tied down
and the one thing that scared me is the one thing I`ve learned
there`s no bed of roses around the next turn
