This is an acoustic version of a song by Better Than Ezra
called “Good”. It was like their first hit and they have
been doing very well since. It doesn’t seem like the
acoustic version uses power chords, so here’s an alternate
transcription. Standard tuning, no capo.
Chords:
G:320003
D:xx0232
Em:022000
C:x32010
The entire song just uses this chord progression:
G-D-Em-C
And that’s it, no alterations, as far as I can tell.
Here are the lyrics:
Lookin around the house, heading behind the window and the door
Searchin for signs of life but there’s nobody home
Now maybe I’m just too sure
Or maybe I’m just too frightened by the sound of it
Pieces of notes fall down but the letter said
CHORUS:
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
Uh-huh, it was good,
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
Uh-huh, it was good
Sitting around the house, watchin the sun graze shadows on the floor
Searchin for signs of life but there’s nobody home
Well maybe I’ll call or write you a letter
Now maybe we’ll see on the 4th of July
But I’m not too sure, and I’m not too proud
Well, I’m not too sure and I’m not too proud to say
CHORUS 3X
