Subject: CRD: I`ll Be There by J. J. Cale
I`ve been working on a J. J. Cale song from his Okie
album. I`m missing a couple of lyrics. Can anyone tell me
what he`s saying here ? Are these chords correct ?
Has anyone else recorded this song ? It seems like I`ve
heard it somewhere before. Any help here would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Murphy

I`LL BE THERE (IF YOU EVER WANT ME)
G
There ain`t no chain strong enough to hold me,
Ain`t no breeze big enough to slow me,
D
Never have seen a river that`s too wide;
G
There ain`t no jail tight enough to lock me,
Ain`t no man big enough to stop me,
D G
I`ll be there if you ever want me by your side.
G
There ain`t no rope stout enough to bind me,
Look for me, honey, you will find me,
D
Any old time you`re ready ----- ---;
G
I`ll be there ready and waiting,
There won`t be any hesitating,
D G
I`ll be there if you ever want me anymore.
D G
Love me if you`re ever gonna love me,
D
Never have seen a road too rough to ride;
G
There ain`t no chain strong enough to hold me,
Ain`t no breeze big enough to slow me,
D G
I`ll be there if you ever want me by your side.
